My Professional Body
Members of the public and employers now have greater protection from poor counselling standards or unethical practice through a new register that has been vetted and approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. BACP's voluntary register has been accredited under a new scheme set up by the Department of Health and administered by an independent body, accountable to Parliament.
Counsellors on this new register have had to attend training of a particularly high standard and have to consistently adhere to strict guidelines for ethical practice and continuing professional development.
If you would like to check my BACP Registered status it takes just a few seconds. You can just click the logo below that takes you through to the official online counsellor & psychotherapist Accredited Register. You will see a link at the top of the page to Check Register and you can just enter my name.
